FIRST EVER PLAY SOFTBALL PORTLAND KICKED OFF PLAY BALL WEEKEND

We had the best time during PlayBall Weekend on June 10th! Over 950 youth were impacted by FOB. As part of part of MLB's PlayBall Weekend, FOB partnered with the Seattle Mariners and PIL Athletics for the first ever Play Softball Portland! 

Play Softball Portland Featured: 

• Special VIP guests: Oregon State Representative Janelle Bynum, Nikki Brown Clown, and MLB Softball Ambassador and Women's Professional Fastpitch (WPF) Commissioner, Lauren Chamberlain. 
• Softball skills stations for beginning and intermediate players 
• Skilled trainers from FOB Girls L.E.A.D Softball Program, Softball U, USA Softball and the Mariners Training Center
• Ballpark Hot Dog Meal for all participants 
• Softball Swag bag & Face painting
• Interactive History Lesson, "The Women of Negro Leagues Baseball," presented by Nikki Brown Clown

We also partnered with the Hillsboro Hops and Nike Diamond to put on 7 clinics around the Portland metro area.
