A Place for Young Women to Lead on and off the Field!
Girls L.E.A.D. (Learning & Empowering through Athletic Development) is FULL COUNT's girls-centered initiative that uses softball as a vehicle for youth development, leadership, and confidence building. Designed for girls ages 10–16, the program creates a safe, supportive space where participants can grow both on and off the field. Through a combination of skill development sessions, community clinics, and leadership programming, Girls LEAD focuses on building more than just athletes. Participants develop teamwork, communication, and resilience while forming meaningful relationships with coaches, mentors, and peers. The program integrates social-emotional learning, mentorship from female athletes, and opportunities for girls to see themselves as leaders in sports and in their communities.
Girls LEAD is rooted in access. We work intentionally to remove barriers that often prevent girls from participating in sports by providing programming, equipment, and transportation support when needed. Our goal is to ensure that every girl, regardless of background, has the opportunity to stay active, build confidence, and feel a sense of belonging.
More than a program, Girls LEAD is a pathway. Whether a participant is picking up a glove for the first time or continuing her development, Girls LEAD provides the support, structure, and community needed to help girls stay engaged in sports and carry those lessons into school, relationships, and future opportunities.
