2023 Full Count Nike RBI Baseball Skills Academy

This past week, we held our second annual Full Count Nike RBI Baseball Skills Academy at Jefferson High School. During this three-day camp, 30 ballplayers came to Jefferson to learn baseball fundamentals and improve their skills.

Highlights from the camp were:

Baseball skills stations with FOB coaches and mentors
Stations with focus on defensive and hitting skills
A thought-provoking lesson with inspirational guest speaker, Tyler Monk about the importance of academics and how important it is to be a Major League Citizen.
More VIP Guest speakers including catching coach Kevin Lovings, and Former college player, Blair Frederick who spoke about their experience being a Black ballplayer and how to transform their challenges into professional success
Breakfast, lunch, water and snacks were provided all 3 days

2023 Full Count Nike RBI Girls Lead Softball Camp

This past week, we had our third annual Full Count Nike RBI Girls Lead Softball Camp. Drawing the attention of over 30 softball campers, the event took place at University Park Softball field in Portland.

Highlights from the camp were:
Engaging softball skills stations with accomplished FOB coaches and fellows, dedicated collegiate players, and the expertise of Coach Erin Wilson from the Mariners Training Center.

A thought-provoking history lesson, spotlighting trailblazing women who shattered barriers by playing in the Negro Baseball League taught by Nikki Brown Clown.
Career exploration lesson with the President of Clark College, Dr. Karin Edwards
Science-infused softball fundamentals demonstrating principles of physics through engaging experiments.
Engaging Arts & Crafts
Each camper went home with a Girls Lead FOB Swag kit including a glove, t-shirt, and visor
Each camper designed their own Softball Trading Card, celebrating their own unique identity and strengths

FOB's mission is clear: nurturing confident, capable young women while fostering leadership both on and off the field.
