Meeting our Parent and Child Vision
As stated,
Friends of Baseball's founding vision is to enhance and strengthen
family ties through baseball. This can only be accomplished through a shared commitment
for effective and cohesive relationships between parents, the coach, and the child's team.
Primary and supplemental grants will be provided to those teams who choose to actively
participate in nurturing these relationships.
Applicants are encouraged to develop an event, or series of events, to encourage this
vital interaction within their organizations. This could include a "Kids and Parents
Play at Game Day," "Awards Night by the Coaches," "Parents Game & Pizza Night," "Kids
and Parents Major League Game Trip," " A New Season Kick-Off Hot Dog Feed." There are
unlimited opportunities to encourage and cultivate this relationship through youth baseball.
Implement one of these concepts or implement your own; creativity is always encouraged.
Simply describe your inspiration, and its corresponding budget, in a letter form as a
grant application. A significant number of individual grants will be designated for these
"team building events."
